Access & Privacy Essentials (FOIPOP & MGA)
The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner has developed an interactive workshop focused on how to deliver an access to information and protection of privacy program on behalf of a public body or a municipality in Nova Scotia. This training includes an extensive toolkit and is intended for anyone who has responsibilities relating to the processing of access to information requests and/or has responsibilities for administering the privacy program of their public body or municipality.

Privacy for Non-Profits in Nova Scotia
The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner has created a toolkit to help non-profit organizations understand privacy best practices, become familiar with key privacy tools, be able to identify a privacy breach and how to respond to privacy breaches when they occur. The toolkit also provides guidance on how to begin to incorporate a privacy management program into non-profit organizations.

Privacy Rights of Children and Teens
In partnership with federal, provincial and territorial information and privacy commissioners across the country, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for Nova Scotia supported the development of this training program intended to introduce students from grades 9 - 12 to important privacy principles relating to personal information collection online. The two hour course teaches them ways to find out what personal information may or has been collected by platforms they use, how to limit data collection about themselves, and the various forms of recourse that are available to them if they feel an organization is not respecting their privacy rights.
